Obuka: Kritička analiza političkog i medijskog diskursa

Osmišljena kao nastavak radionice Hyperbase, obuka ima za cilj kreiranje multidisciplinarnog istraživačkog tima predavača i njihovo osposobljavanje za realizaciju kvalitativne socio-linkgvističke obrade prikupljenih tekstualnih podataka odnosno baza.

 

Obuka podrazumijeva uvod u teorijski dio i metodologiju istraživanja u oblasti kritičke analize diskursa.

 

Metodologija kvalitativne analize diskursa oslanja se na kritičku analizu političkog i medijskog diskursa.

Istraživački rad u timu djelimično se oslanja na logometrijsku metodu u okviru Hyperbase platforme za statističku obradu teksta.

 

Materijali pripremljeni za obuku organizovani su u formi power point prezentacija i sažetih šematskih prikaza teorijskih dostignuća praćeni adekvatnimprimjerima. Osmišljeni su da olakšaju kvalitativnu analizu teksta za početnike u toj oblasti kao i za istraživače iz oblasti društvenih i drugih nauka.

 

Očekivani ishodi ove aktivnosti priprema naučnih radova koji bi se prezentirali na naučnim konferencijama i objavljivali u naučnim časopisima.

Training: Critical analysis of political and media discourse

Training, period of time: October 2023 – May 2024.

 

Conceived as a continuation of the Hyperbase workshop, the training aims to create a multidisciplinary research team of lecturers and train them to perform qualitative socio-linguistic processing of collected textual data.

 

The training includes an introduction to the theoretical part and research methodology in the field of critical discourse analysis.

 

The methodology of qualitative discourse analysis relies on critical analysis of political and media discourse.

The team's research work is partially based on the logometric method within the Hyperbase platform for statistical text processing.

 

The materials prepared for the training are organized in the form of power point presentations and concise schematic representations of theoretical achievements followed by adequate examples. They are designed to facilitate qualitative text analysis for beginners in the field as well as for researchers in the social and other sciences.

 

The expected outcomes of this activity are the preparation of scientific papers that would be presented at scientific conferences and published in scientific journals.

Online workshop Hyperbase: web plateform for analysing and visualizing textual data is realized within the EMIMI project thanks to the technical support of PhD Laurent Vanni from the University of Nice, team UMR7320: Bases, Corpus, Langage. This workshop is a continuation of earlier cooperation during the two outgoing mobility of PhD Sonja Špadijer (UCG, Faculty of Philology).

The aim of the workshop is to acquaint students and interested professors with the functioning of the platform for statistical text processing, Hyperbase web, on the example of text in the field of political discourse.
In addition, workshop participants will have the opportunity to be actively involved in the process of creating their own databases.

Target groups: students attending the EMIMI module and all interested professors

Working corpus (design and collect before the workshop):
For the preparation of the workshop, it would be ideal for the participants to prepare in advance a minimum of 4 text files (plain Text Document, type Notepad, so neither pdf nor word).
Each file represents corpus metadata.
Metadata depends on the working hypotheses of each student individually.

Thus, for example, each file of one corpus (which has a minimum of 4 text.doc files of approximately the same length) may represent a different year of publication of selected texts in a given field; if we are dealing with authors, each file represents an individual author; if the working hypothesis refers to a genre, each file in the corpus represents a different genre; and so on.
Texts should be in a foreign language as the software has not yet covered the BCMS languages.

Research methodology:
The hypothesis examines the contrasts within the corpus. That is, it explores the characteristics of each text in relation to others.
Therefore, it should be borne in mind that Hyperbase does not process language as a whole, but a specific corpus based on specific assumptions.

Online radionica Hyperbase: web plateform for analysing and visualizing textual data realizuje se u okviru projekta EMIMI zahvaljujući tehničkoj podršci Gospodina Lorana Vanija sa Univerzita u Nici, tim UMR7320: Bases, Corpus, Langage. Riječ je nastavku ranije saradnje tokom dvije odlazne mobilnosti doc. dr Sonje Špadijer (UCG, Filološki fakultet).

Cilj radionice je da se studenti i zainteresovani profesori upoznaju sa funkcionisanjem platforme za statističku obradu teksta, Hyperbase web, na primjeru teksta iz oblasti političkog diskursa. Pored toga, polaznici radionice biće u prilici da se aktivno uključe u proces kreiranja sopstvenih baza.
Ciljne grupe: studenti polaznici modula EMIMI i svi zainteresovani profesori
Radni korpus (osmisliti i prikupiti prije radionice):
Za pripremu radionice idealno bi bilo da učesnici unaprijed pripreme minimum 4 tekstualne datoteke/fajla (običan Tekst Document, tip Notepad, dakle ni pdf ni word).
Svaka datoteka predstavlja metapodatke korpusa.
Metapodaci zavise od radnih hipoteza svakog polaznika pojedinačno.

Tako na primjer, svaka datoteka/fajl jednog korpusa (koji ima minimum 4 fajla text.doc približno iste dužine) može predstavljati različitu godinu objavljivanja odabranih tekstova iz date oblasti, ili sl.; ako se pak bavimo autorima, svaka datoteka predstavlja pojedinog autora; ako se radna hipoteza odnosi na žanr, svaki fajl u korpusu predstavlja različiti žanr, i sl. Tekstovi treba da budu na nekom od stranih jezika budući da softver još uvijek nije obuhvatio BCMS jezike.

Metodologija istraživanja:
Hipotezom se ispituju kontrasti u okviru korpusa. Odnosno, njome se istražuju karakteristike svakog teksta u odnosu na druge.
Stoga treba imati na umu da Hyperbase ne obrađuje jezik kao cjelinu, već specifičan korpus koji se temelji na specifičnim pretpostavkama.
